-
Bible Gateway Bible
Online: The best Biblical resource online that we are aware
of, this gives the viewer access to the word of God in quite a
number of different translations. Check it out!
-
Happy Life
Children's Home - This is a home our church supports in
Nairobi, Kenya. It houses around 30 poverty-abandoned babies,
giving them a home and a hope - and facilitating their
adoptions. Once a month we take a collection for this mission.
-
The Apologetics Index:
These folks provide an excellent online source of information on
cult groups, religious extremists, hate groups, and other false
prophets in American religious life.
-
Christian Classics Ethereal
Library: This is an outstanding online Christian resource
collection. It includes large selections from Wesley, Calvin,
Arminius, Luther, Teresa of Avila, Jonathon Edwards, Charles
Finney, etc., plus encyclopedias of Christian information and
Biblical commentaries. An excellent resource!
-
The National Association of
Congregational Christian Churches: This is an umbrella
organization of about 400 congregations, including the Maple
Hill Church. The central office, based out of Oak Creek,
Wisconsin, seeks to assist local churches in their ministry.
Look on the site to find a church near you!
-
The
Congregationalist Magazine: This publication delivers up a
variety of articles, mostly by Congregational pastors and
laypersons, to encourage the Congregational expressions of the
Christian faith.
-
The Congregational Library:
Located at 14 Beacon Street in Boston, this building houses a
wealth of information on Congregational history, growth, change,
and development.
-
The Conservative Congregational
Christian Conference: More popularly known as the four C's,
this group comprises the largest collection of Conservative
Congregationalists in the country. They also offer services to
local pastors and churches.
-
Manhattan Christian College:
This small, private Christian college has been extremely helpful
to our church, offering pastoral services in times of need and
consultation from various faculty members. They also host
pastors' and church leaders' training seminars from time to
time.
-
Promise
Keepers: A modern day revival movement among men, this
organization has had a powerful ministry in many lives of men
from all over, challenging us to spiritual renewal and
responsibility. The 1996 clergy conference in Atlanta was
especially powerful. And God used a football coach to start it,
of all people.
-
Youth Specialties:
A great resource for youth pastors and leaders, this
organization provides a variety of publications, writings, and
tons of free ideas to assist youth pastors and leaders in their
ministry work. There is also a mammoth job bank. For persons
interested in getting involved in youth ministry, there are lots
of opportunities out there.
-
Compassion
International: This is a well-known, fiscally responsible,
Christian child sponsorship organization. For $28 a month you
can sponsor a child in need here in the U.S. or in one of
several foreign countries. Pastor Andrew sponsors a child named
"Abdulwahab". He's about 14 years old and lives in Ethiopia.
Every sponsored child is provided with food, clothing,
education, and Christian teaching.
-
Evangelicals for Social Action: This organization encourages
churches and other ministries to practice a healthy mix of
evangelism and social action combined. It's the best resource
for socially-progressive evangelicals who have a heart for
helping others. PRISM, their magazine publication, is excellent.
